Getting the most from your candle
The Art of Burning
Everything you need to know to get the most from your Starylyte candle.
First Burn is Everything
Always burn until the wax pool reaches the edges of the jar (2–3 hours). This prevents tunnelling and ensures an even burn for life.
Trim Your Wick
Before every burn, trim the wick to 5mm. This prevents soot, mushrooming, and keeps the flame clean and steady.
Burn Time Limits
Never burn for more than 4 hours at a time. Let the candle cool for 2 hours before relighting.
Keep Away From Drafts
Draughts cause uneven burning and excessive flickering. Burn on a flat, heat-resistant surface away from windows.
Know When to Stop
Stop burning when 10mm of wax remains. Burning to the very bottom can overheat the jar.
Repurpose Your Jar
Once finished, clean out with warm water and repurpose as a vase, pen holder, or storage. Our jars are designed to last.
Safety First
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials.
